Why do the slices stick together?
The cause is usually temperature fluctuations. When the package is removed from the cold and then returned, the moisture that condenses on the surface causes the pieces to stick together.
Precaution: Open the package near the counter, set aside the amount you’ll use that day in one go, and immediately put the rest back in the refrigerator. Don’t force apart slices that are stuck together; letting the package sit for a few minutes before separating them will prevent the slices from tearing.
Why does the toast drip?
There are two reasons why it oozes: too much cheese and very high heat. Don’t place the slices all the way to the edge of the bread; leave about half a centimeter of space.
Keeping the machine at a medium temperature prevents the cheese from overflowing at the edges before it melts. If the cheese is at refrigerator temperature, the process takes longer, and the cheese won’t melt before the edges burn—removing it just before serving restores the balance.
How should it be stored?
Store at +2 / +4 °C. Close the package after opening, or transfer the slices to a container with a lid. Slices left exposed will dry out at the edges and won’t melt properly on toast.
Consume the opened package within a few days.
Can it be frozen?
Since it will be used after being melted, it can be frozen. Placing paper between the slices before freezing makes it easier to separate them after thawing. This product is not recommended for serving on a cold platter.
